Children join Bridgewood House residents for a day of music, motion and storytelling

As part of their inter-generational project, where young people spend time with older members of the community, Year 6 children spent the day with the residents of Bridgewood House, a local care home, who hosted a special performance by theatre group Chickenshed.

The children and residents , laughed, danced and sang songs together.

Linking younger and older people together helps with the recalling of memories, the exchange of skills and helping each other to get to know a different generation.
