Fabulous new school fruit and vegetable garden opens

A sponsored skip by the children last April helped to raise the last of the money we needed to create a lovely new outdoor garden area.

Laura Addae who our trust fundraiser secured a further £1,300 of funding to ensure the project could go ahead.

The school does not have much outdoor space so we cleverly built our garden in a small section within our school playground.

Each year group has their own designated planter to grow some healthy and nutritious vegetables.

The children have already begun growing a range of vegetables, such as peppers, aubergines, courgettes, and runner beans.

Behind the vegetables, you can also see some beautiful hand-crafted mosaics that were designed by our pupils.

Over the summer holidays, the school facilities team will be maintaining the garden area. We can’t wait for the children to enjoy the area when they return to school.
