Year 3 to support victims of the volcano eruptions in St Vincent and the Grenadines

In class, our year 3 children have been learning about volcanoes and volcanic eruptions.

Recently there was a devastating volcanic eruption in St Vincent and the Grenadines. During this eruption, around 20,000 people had to be evacuated from their homes.

This week year 3 was involved in a zoom call with 3 children and a teacher from St Vincent. Pupils were allowed to ask questions to help their learning and find out how this natural disaster affects communities directly.

Following the Zoom meeting, year 3s will be writing letters to supermarkets asking for donations to help support people affected by this terrible event.

Thank you, Michelle John, our curriculum advisor, for organising this event. We are extremely proud of our year 3 class for being a force for positive change, well done everyone.
