Information for parents - early reading.
We recently held an information meeting for parents and carers to discuss early years reading strategies.
The session introduced the "Read Write Inc" programme, which helps children read smoothly, understand what they read, and spell words using phonics.
In Reception, children engage in daily phonics sessions and enjoy interactive storytelling with props and listening stations.
We encourage parents to support reading at home by reading daily, using phonics techniques like "Fred Talk," and keeping reading records.
